In his “Good Grief” workshop, through a series of creative writing exercises, students discover ways to transform their traumas into catalysts for personal growth, all while raising their voices for change in their communities. The “Words To Live By” workshop, students gain several fun and innovative tools to put an end to the dreaded "Writer's Block".   From his work as a wellness instructor with the Muscogee County Juvenile Drug Court system, he has also designed an effective and fun-filled curriculum that teaches students life skills through creative writing. Students have experienced the benefits of this auxiliary arts education in their intellectual, personal, and social development.

He has also been widely sought out for Grades K - 12  arts integration facilitation and writing/performance workshops.  Jonathan curates an inclusive learning experience based on curriculum standards and/or needs of the client, all while creating and maintaining a trauma sensitive leaning environment.  His gentle, creative, and liberating style of teaching is perfect for your special event, training, classroom, conference, business, organization, or college event. Book Him!

Regardless of the workshop, attendees will not only leave with the ability to produce a polished piece of creative writing and an understanding of how to submit their work for publication, but also develop an understanding of their own influences and aesthetic values as writers and how their own work fits into larger literary traditions.
