Journey Here by Jonathan Samuel Eddie

Life has a way of twisting and turning as we navigate from point A to point B. The journey, full of unexpected joys and tribulations, often finds us landing not where we want to be, but where we need to be. In Journey Here, spoken word comedian/playwright,  Jonathan Samuel Eddie, offers a candid look from his growing up in East Columbus (Georgia), and the many elation and obstacle that presented themselves on his journey as a poet, writer, comedian, teaching artist, black man, and caregiver for his mother, whom was living with Alzheimers. The show offers a look at the interesting people, places, and things that have shaped this artist, and encouraged his work.  Journey Here isnt about hiding behind the things that hurt you; its about using those experiences as markers of your individuality, and turning them around to do better, to do bigger, to simply make the most of  the here.
